Kara

Back

Kara
Yellow labrador retriever
Female (spayed)
Senior

07/18/2006Sadly dear Kara has gone to the Rainbow bridge, a large aggressive , fast growing tumour in her abdomen was discovered , explaining the sudden onset of some worrysome symptoms. A tragic end to a tragic life. Her foster Mum takes comfort in the fact that she at least knew love had a yard to run in, and to enjoy the sunshine for at least a short time in her life.

04/07/06: What a tragic story this poor girl has to tell, Kara was a typical sweet cute puppy, enjoyed by her family, once she outgrew her cute puppyness she was relegated to a chain in the back yard, starved of attention, she waited patiently for any bit of love or attention her family would give her and oiften surely waited in vain. Then at some point in her life, and we really are not too sure why, it was decided she would be best living in a shed in the yard, as if that wasnt sad enough she was crated whilst in there, and if that wasnt sad enough, her family taped cardboard completely around the crate to stop all light getting in. Poor tragic kara has endured , existing - for you cannot surely call it living - like this for we dont know how long, with just occaisonal outings to the yard on a chain. In a bizarre twist, her family found it hard to release her to rescue as they 'loved her so much' . Kara arrived in rescue yesterday, she will be vetted completely this week, Poor Kara has stiff, weak back legs, this could be caused by a number of conditions but certainly living in cramped conditions of a crate for so long have not helped. This strange half-life that kara has lived in has not dampened her love of humans and we know in a loving and compassionate family environment this girl will truly blossom. We will be looking for an extra-special home for this precious girl that will have patience and expereince to allow her the chance to become a much treasured member of her very own family, and where we can be sure she will not have to endure anymore torment ever again. This poor girl has not seen a vet in a very long time, and we are anticipating heavy costs in veterinary care to bring her up to good health. We will be posting more info on Kara as we find out more about her personality and her health. Last night for the first time in a long time Kara enjoyed sleeping inside on a comfy bed and the love and attention of her Foster Mum.

THANK YOU TAKING TIME TO READ POOR KARA'S TRAGIC STORY. LETS HOPE FOR A HAPPY ENDING.
